Have your say on proposals for a new Neighbourhood Area for Churchdown
Residents, businesses, and other interested parties are being invited to comment on proposals to designate a new Neighbourhood Area for Churchdown.
Churchdown Parish Council has formally applied to Tewkesbury Borough Council to prepare a neighbourhood plan, which would help shape future development in the area. The proposed Neighbourhood Area covers Churchdown Parish, and part of Hucclecote Parish, including the Chosen Hill area.
As part of the legal process, the borough council is carrying out a six-week consultation on the proposed area designation from Wednesday, 16 September to Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
Neighbourhood planning gives local communities the opportunity to influence how their area develops, including where new homes, businesses, and community facilities should be located.
Details of the application, a map of the proposed Neighbourhood Area and information on how to submit comments are available at: tewkesbury.gov.uk/neighbourhood-planning .
All representations must be submitted in writing, either by email to neighbourhoodplanning@tewkesbury.gov.uk or by post to the Planning Policy Team, Tewkesbury Borough Council, Public Services Centre, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, GL20 5TT. Representations must be received before the consultation closes on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
